I have a 1974 S-650G and would desperately like to add a top-n-tilt on my tractor. I'm a little confused on how to supply the cylinders and return the fluid to my resevoir. I still have the original supply and return tubing plumbed from the factory.
Would I have to change out tubing to hoses from pump to resevoir in rear. Or just splice in a "T" into the supply and return lines and feed my block that way.I know that many of these came with FEL's and have remote hydraulics.I just don't see them on mine.

Thanks for any help someone can give
Scott

Hi Scott,

My S650G manuals are at my shop, and I’ll take a look Monday… I did own a Satoh S650G with a loader and since sold it, so I don’t remember nor have pictures on how it was plumbed. (and the one I currently have, doesn’t have any loader…)

You have some very qualified people on board TBN that should be able to give you the generics on the TNT plumbing aspects, but I’m afraid I’m not one of those people… /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

The hydraulic pump is very small, ~ 4.3 gpm rate, but shouldn’t have any problem with TNT… but I’ll help the best I can…

I'm sorry... I’m just not familiar enough with the plumbing aspects to steer you in the correct direction… /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah I just noticed you were an owner and thought you may have had a good idea of what I was talking about. It looks like it would be a task to swap it to hoses because of the fact that the fittings seem pretty unique and would need to be replicated in a machine shop.

Thanks anyway

Yeah... I'd leave those fittings alone... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif, every part is expensive and rare on these units...

There are a few plugs on the housing you can plumb into/out of... with some external valve you'd add for control...

Look at your area under the seat... at that valve... should be a few plugs... I believe is where the loader hoses ran...

If you have not found info you need, I have 27 pages in my old manual that pertains to hydraulic system.

My 650 G does not have top/tilt.

I have no idea which diagrams would help you.

All I have ever done to hyd on mine is remove hyd pump so I could replace timing chain and tensioner.
