john deere 757 z trak
does anyone know why a john deere 757 z trak wants to die as soon as you start pulling the motion control handles in out of the lock positon and yes the e brake is off and it worked fine before i took the motor out to put new seals in it the motor runs perfect the pto works but now you have to be on the seat to even start it or let it idle and it wants to dies as soon as you touch the control handles

Sounds like a bad safety switch to me. Possibly on the brake since the pto will run. You'd just have to trace the linkages until you find a switch. Make sure it's secured to whatever moves to activate it. Then make sure it's plugged in. You could unplug it and check it with a jumper wire in the plug and see if it will move then, if it does then it's the switch.

Make sure the battery cables are on the right posts. Happened to a friend of mine and that's a symptom.
A JD757 Z-trac will start with the battery hooked up backwards?
