I've been looking for a York type rake for my Kubota L35 Backhoe. I found a used York RW with wheels, blade & scarrifier but I'm not sure if it is wide enough. The unit is 6ft wide and my Kubota measures 5ft-4in out to out at the rear tires. My Kubota Operators Manual says to limit the rear blade to 72 inches so maybe it's ok. I'd appreciate some input as I have little experience pulling a rake, blade or scarifier..
My driveways are crushed stone and about 750 ft long. I also have three large parking areas and a narrow beach lanes that is just over 7ft wide. My thoughts were to use the rake to brake up any weeds, regrade the stone, and maybe plow snow. I'm concearned that a 6ft rake may not have enough width when angled.
I'm leaning toward this unit because of the scarrifier and blade combo. I'm sure the blade is light duty but the scarrifier should brake up any clumps and it will work great for reworking the drives after the spring thaw. The seller is asking $900. The rake is rusty but it looks like the only damage is one bent tine.
My Kubota is 4 wheel drive and it has foamed tires. However, it is designed as a backhoe and I don't think it has the pulling traction of a regular 35hp, 4 wheel drive tractor. The scarrifiers may be all it can handle.
Anyway, I sure would appreciate any replys.
