Tractor Sizing Question re info about larger size YM ractors

I am wondering why there are so few post about the larger size tractors YM3000--and up. Does anyone know if they are unpopular, not many around or what is the answer. I looked thru 32 pages of post and almost none about the larger ones. If anyone knows please reply. Thanks

I think that the larger tractors just aren't as available. Most of the Japanese farmers have small plots of ground, and so require only a small tractor. The most popular imported Yanmar tractor is the YM1401. By the time you get even to the YM1810 size, there are much fewer.

Greg is right. I have a YM4220D now, and recently sold a FX42D, but they are far and few between. Great tractors though.

Thanks for the info Greg and Dave. Does anyone know if parts are hard to find for my YM3110 as compared to the more popular smaller sizes. I have not had to find anything so far.

As for the 1401 being the most popular, I think it is probably a regional thing. Around here YM2000's are very popular.

I thought from what I have seen and read that the YM 1500 was the one that was most popular, just about everywhere.

Of the larger YM's, the 3110 is fairly common, much more so than the 4220's and many others. Quite a few of the parts are common to John Deere as well. It's a good model to own.

There are a few older ones kicking around...I've got a YM336D (US model...), 33 hp 4wd. GREAT machine, and worth every penny. I'd agree that less have been imported here, but I think there are more than we all think...they're just in use, or their owners aren't on the internet, or don't want to put down the brand as it is considered an off-brand so much, and so many folks have never heard of them.
