I am new to this post. I joined because I am about to purchase my first tractor and I have a lot of questions concerning my needs. I really like the GC 2300, but I don't know if it is enough tractor. I will occasionaly maintain part of the 1 mile long gravel driveway to my house and 8 acres. I will mostly use a tractor to mow grass. I need 4wd and a more reliable machine than my current 14hp garden tractor to mow about 21/2 acres.
I have a steep hill in front of my house. I currently mow it with my garden tractor (only when it is dry). Is the GC 2300 more stable or less stable on hills when compared to a TC 30 or MF1428v? How does the GC 2300 do with a rear blade when used to grade gravel. How well does it push snow (my area averages several 6" to 12" snow falls). My dealer told me the Ag tires shoud not harm my grass because they are so small. He did say the turf tires would work fine even for snow removal. Is the F.E.L. enough to replace gravel and dirt from erosion?
I really like the GC 2300, but I think my local dealer is having trouble moving these tractors (he has a new 2003 model on the lot). Thanks for your help.
