I'm now looking pretty hard at the TC35D after today (previously the TC33D). You can reference the following post for the full story.

Problems Choosing Thread

After looking at one, I had a few questions about the TC35D.

1. I noticed it had only 2 ranges as opposed to the TC33D and other tractors in its class (4410 & L3430) that have 3 ranges. Do you find this to be a problem, annoyance or limiting factor?
2. I read the literature but I'm not sure I understand what the DualPower feature does. Does this feature essentially create more than 2 ranges? Could you please explain?
3. The literature says that the only MMM for the TC35D is the 84" RD. Is this correct? Can the 72" RD be used on this model?
4. Is the MMM on the TC35D raised/lowered with the 3ph like on the TC33D or with its own hydraulics/SCV?
5. Does anyone out there have a MMM on their TC35D? If so, how does the tractor handle the 84" RD MMM? Does it have enough power to handle it and not bog down?
6. Does anyone know the cost on the 84" RD MMM option?

As always, I appreciate your help.

U have PM,
The Class III has 2 ranges and a switch on the fender for rabbit/turtle in hi or low range, this is the dual power it's like having 4 ranges.
This is a great set-up because u have a 2 speed cruise also.
Once cruise is set u can flip the rabbit/turtle so when mowing I can run 5+mph and flip switch down for 3 mph on the turns or trimming and go right back to hi.
It is posible to mow whole yard (6+ acres)and NEVER touch the hydro pedal /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
U can only get the 84" MMM on the class III because of the tractor width.
The mower is raised by the 3 pt too.
W/the 35D being so high the mower locks up so 3 pt can still be used (maybe 8-10" of clearance when locked up, never measured).
List is over $4000 on mower but after having a woods RFM I'll never go back to a RFM after using the 35D w/ MMM.

Neophyte,
Sorry I can't help with your questions, but I just wanted to add some comments.
I've been following your posts closely as I'm in the same situation as you. I thought I wanted a 29, then the 33 looked better, and now I'm looking at the 35. I have a hard time with the price difference between the 33 and the 35 though.
The 2-pedal hydro would be very nice and the 35 would no doubt handle a loader better. I think I'm going to wait for the new 33 with the 14LA loader and give it a try.....only with red paint! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif (CaseIH DX33 with L140 loader).

Hoeman00,
Thanks for the answers.

Blackjack,
Which part of the country are you in? The Case dealers in my area don't seem to carry the Case DX series. I wish they did, I would like to get a price on one. I have heard they are identical to the TC-D series (less blue color) and can be about $1000 less expensive. I would love to wait for the TC33DA with 14LA but I can't wait that long. I could really use the tractor this fall and winter.

I figure if I get the TC35D and it's too much for us, then I can trade it down to the TC33DA when it's out. I have talked to dealers and they have said they do not expect the TC33DA to be out in the January 2004 time frame. They are saying that NH has too many new products scheduled to come out to maintain that schedule. They think the TC33DA product release will be more like late spring or early summer of 2004.

I'm from SD. You're right, not many dealers carry the DX line. From what I've been told, that will all change this fall or early next year when the new models come out. But even the CIH dealers that I've talked to said they could order me one if I'm really interested. I was at a dealer in MN yesterday and although they didn't carry the DX line, he handed me a 1 page DX brochure that he had recently received. The DX tractor on this brocure seems to be the new design although it still says CaseIH and not Farmall. One would think that they are close to releasing the new model....and I hope the dealer you talked to is not correct with his time estimates!!

I'd only go w/ the 35D and up because of loader size and the SSL quick-tach.
SSL attachments are cheaper and many more options but u need the higher lift to use them.
BTW DX doesn't have SS which really works great w/ MMM.
The prices I've seen the DX cost same as D w/ SS so u are paying $1K more.
I use the brakes to steer in the winter when cutting wood w/ 1 1/2 cord in the trailer.

What exactly is the "SSL quick-tach"?

New Holland (and other makes for that matter), offer Front End Loaders (FELs) that use the "Bobcat" or "Skidsteer Loader" (SSL) type of attachment for buckets. New Holland calls their system "Quick-Tach" (QT). An aftermarket manufacturer is ATI.

These systems allow for fairly rapid removal of your FEL bucket and replacement with other skidsteer-type attachments, or with nothing to allow for extra mobility.

That means you could have a NH or ATI SSL QT for your FEL!
