I have some questions about a new L3430. I am looking at one with the Grand Cab,4x4,Hst.723FEL. with Landscape tires.

Can you have down pressure with the 3-pt hitch?
What is the design life of this tractor?? (How many hours)

What would a good OTD price be for this model?

Thanks

There is no down pressure on the 3 pt hitch. It's got external hydraulic cylinders but they only lift. Why would you need down pressure. Most items with the possible exception of a post hole auger don't need it.

I have never seen a life span chart or statement regarding expected usage life.

For an idea on out the door prices contact: tractorsmart.com, Deens tractor a sponsor on theis site, Carver's etc., and then check you local dealers.

Landscape tires? R4's, R3's or R1's. All will do a good job of landscaping. Some better then others. Loader estimate is about $4000. Tractor is about $20K with HST. The cab, I have not got a clue on that. I think tractorsmart still has the list prices at their site.

Thanks, I actually was think about a post hole digger when I was asking about downpressure. sometimes downpressure would be nice, sence the weight of the impliment is'nt always enough.
I went to tractorsmart.com but could not find any prices. I think you have to e-mail them your request. Im wondering if kubota dident like having there prices posted on the net.
Could someone post the link to the area where they have the prices listed??

Im not sure of the type of tire. there not as aggresive as agricultrial tread, more aggresive than turf.

Here is a link to Carver Equipment. They have the list prices there. L3430 Carver Equipment

I have seen some great setups on tractors where they put the post hole digger head on the loader arm. It's run by a hydraulic motor
The tires your talking about are R4's. An industrial tire.

The tractorsmart policy must be a new one as they were very good at getting me a price quote on my L3830 HST.

Hi...

I'll say about $25,000-26,000...

I looked at that setup too ... nice cab !

I ended up with a 3130... and a Curtis soft-sided cab (hard-seded too) with heater... I don't need the 3 extra HP or A/C... or the additional ~$4,000 in cost... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Also... 2 dealers told me having the FEL control on the fender can be problematic...

Curtis Cabs...

I bought mine in May 2003 and paid $24,600 (before sales tax) for the L3430 HST with cab and 723 FEL with a Quik Tach bracket and cutting bar and tooth bar costing about $900 extra. The Quik Tach bracket is excellent.
