Was fabricating some stands for the subframe on my Nova project, and after the MIG gun fell on the floor for the third time, I decided to make a holder. A 4" piece of 1" iron pipe, a 7" length of 1" X 1/4" bar stock, a HF magnet, a 1/4" bolt and nut, and a few squirts of Kubota dark gray paint, and this is what I came up with. I think it'll do the job just fine.

Looks nice. I have the HF blue holder and it doesn't work all that well. I keep knocking the torch out of the holder. I'll have to make one like yours. How did you make the bend in the 1/4" steel?

Nice. Simple and gets the job done while looking sharp.

Vise and a hammer unless you have heat, then heat, vise and hammer. Or you could put it in your 100 ton press with the 90 degree fixture and bend it. :ROFLMAO:

I'd need a bigger hammer and vise. I've been thinking about building a forge. There's other things I want to bend as well so I'll add this to the list.

I have an Eastwood brake attachment for my shop press. I use it quit a lot, especially since I modified it with a custom made die that gives me 30°, 45°, 60° and 90° bends.
I got tired of the stick it in the vise, fire up the torch and heat it up, then hammer it to the desired angle routine.
I used the HF 90# magnet, and it's not going anywhere unless you want it to.

Your mig gun holder got me thinking so I made these to hold my cheap hvlp gun beats paying $10 for one I made 3 including a portable one for nothing. Thanks for the idea.
