Hi Folks. I have a 2001 TC29D with 7308 loader and am considering converting it to Quick Attach on the FEL so I can use a set of pallet forks.

1.Is any one kit any better then the next (and where can they be purchased)?
2.How much weight will the forks be able to lift approx?
3. Will the amount of weight the bucket can carry decrease by much when adding the QA?

Thnaks in advance! I appreciate the wealth of knowledge and experience everyone has!

The loader has a stated lift capacity of 875 pounds. Subtract your QA adapter and forks weight from that and you have your payload capacity. The smallest forks and frame for 2300 pounds weigh around 325. The QA adapter is probably 200. Leaves about 325 in payload. You may be better off with a set of pallet forks that attach to the bucket.

The QA adapter weight will decrease bucket lift capacity by the weight of the adapter.

Here is the thread where I converted my TC40DA to QA.

I bought a quick-attach from Everything Attachments for my 1920. Free shipping and the price was right.

I put a QA on my TC33D w/7308. I went with Tach-All Quick Attach by ATI. ATI Corporation - Tach-All(tm) Quick Attach
I don't know the exact weight but it's no where near 200 pounds. I got a good deal on a used Bobcat bucket so I didn't have to modify my old bucket. There is probably some reduction in capacity but it isn't noticeable. I use my pallet forks much more than my bucket. I highly recommend this setup.

Couple of things, the lift capacity rating is given with a bucket, not just a bare loader frame. I would recommend the Construction attachment QA loader forks for compact tractors for you tractor.

Construction Attachments 42" Compact Tractor loader Pallet Forks CAL-1PFCMPSM42

These weigh 220 lbs. about the same as your original bucket. so subtract nothing from your original capacity for them.

As for the QA adaptor, of course I went with the Kubota, but there are plenty others from 3rd parties as mentioned. Mine weighs less than 100 lbs. I dont know the exact weight but it was no where near 200. So I would say maybe subtract 100 lbs ( I dont think it was even that much) from you original lift capacity so lets say 775 lbs of lift capacity. Also take into account of just where these ratings were measured from and just how far does your load sticks out on the end of those forks, but you will still have some nice usefull lift ability. And you will be glad you got them. Bucket forks can work, and they are cheaper, but you still have to lift the bucket and it blocks your view of the forks. and they stick way the **** out there and reduce your load ability. You will find the QA forks much nicer. BTDT
