Does the KL120 FEL on the new CK20HST come available with a QA set up for forks? I can't find it on the website.

Get in touch with Rick Wallace or Michigan Iron. I believe they both had solutions for the CK20.

Don't do what I did with my CK20 which was to get a QA adapter (fine) and a standard set of QA forks (way too heavy for the KL120). If I were doing it again, I'd get a light duty QA adapter and a set of light duty 42 inch forks. Your lift capacity on the forks is only going to be about 800-1000lbs max so a light duty set is all you really can use anyway. I'd imagine you could lift more with the light duty set than with a standard set anyway due to the loaders remainng net load capacity.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I bought some forks to add on to my FEL from Yankee Warehouse. Good set of forks! But I find that I can't lift nearly as much as they can hold. So, the heavy duty forks are sort of a waste. I have a CK27 w/ the KL130 loader.

Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking real hard about joining the pack and am waiting for a trade in quote on a ck20hst. He's real backed up with work and I told him not to rush but I'll re-post when it comes in.

No they do not offer the quick tach on the KL120 although the 120 and 130 have the same pin spacing and the quick tach plate for the 130 will work on the 120.
You might have to purchase it separately.
Or you can look a a Bobcat, they have the CT122 with the bobtach (quick tach) and a 54" bucket.

Check out MichiganIrons fabricated bucket forks. I have a set and they are slick. The mounting system also serves to stiffen the bucket. He ship his fabrications all over the U.S. and even Canada. Take a look.

That would make a lot of sense so long as the OP is not considering adding a grapple or other QA implements. The dedicated bucket forks is a FAR better solution than the screw on/chain on types sold over the internet.

For CK20 the pin on forks are plenty good enough. IF you put the forks out in front of the bucket, you lose lift capacity since the load is further out and you increase instability i.e you need more ballast. The CK20 has limited lift capacity as it is. Michigan Iron has a QA for pin ons that is quite reasonable and sufficient for the CK20--- At least I have their QA and pin on forks and I think they works fine.

We have Bucket Grapples that use the same Load Bar as the Bucket Forks. Un-pin the Forks and slide on the Grapple. Once the load bar is on the bucket, we have different bucket tools that use the same Load Bar Carrier. Just a matter of pulling the pin(s) across the top of the bar.
