I think many of the 1040's came with a pin-on bucket only, which is probably what the OP has. And I think the OP is talking about converting to "Snap-Attach". (Developed and marketed by Westendorf on their loaders...)
I will say that my 1040 has the Global/Euro style QA, and I LOVE it!! Only have to get off the tractor to unlatch, and then once you have the new attachment hanging, you just roll back and , "snap", the pins lock it on. (With SSQA, I think you have to un-latch, then re-latch the pins...
If westendorf's setup is similar to Global, it is probably nice, but I think I'd recommend converting to Global or SSQA anyway, so you don't have to modify every attachment you buy... global and SSQA are both common. "Snap-Attach" is only common to Westendorf stuff...
