Your Monday morning laugh at a rookie.

When is quick attach not very quick? When you try it on a 3year old tractor you bought used! I was feeling like a complete newbie on the weekend when I decided to remove my bucket for the first time. Just pull the handles, then curl and back up, right?!? That did not work. On closer inspection the pins we're still firmly in place. I applied some WD-40 and tried again - no go. After applying some gentle persuasion on the lever with a hammer, one side freed up and I learned that the handles are supposed to be able to point straight up! On the other side I ended up encouraging the pin from the bottom.

Clearly the bucket had never been off the tractor. I cleaned a pile of dirt out of the lower brackets and tried connecting a couple of times. Now it is quick attach. Time to buy some forks!

I used my 3pt attach wood splitter for the second time and just love it. No 8# maul, no renting with a return deadline, no noisy gas engine!

Wait until you spend hours trying to connect up an hydraulic coupler. Had one for front hydraulics (for my grapple) that took me about three hours of beating on and then disassembling before I could connect. I FINALLY ended up getting a new coupling and now I can actually get it connected up quickly. Always keep in mind that there can be manufacturing tolerance issues, and that there may be something that should be, for peace of mind, corrected: not necessarily the case here, but it's something to keep in mind (esp when more and more things are coming from China).

Oh! I fought trying to get my bucket attached not too long ago. Had some frozen dirt stuck to the bucket, enough such that I couldn't latch the connect. Held the bucket up and ran a while until things thawed out (keeping in mind NOT to drop the bucket!) and then it latched. Anyway...

It should really be called "quickER attach!":D

So far, my hydraulic based attachments have come from my local Kioti dealer so they have provided the right couplers. I did learn the hard way to release the pressure before de-coupling the hoses. I am not very strong and I fought for 15 minutes reconnecting my wood splitter. TBN experts say I need 200 hours to be considered experienced. I am just getting started!

I've been around the block a time or two.

The couplers were right. Issue was, my guess, that they were just enough out of spec that they were just too sticky.

200 hrs, with no qualifiers? I'm a rookie with about 1,500 hrs: and that's doing a LOT of different things (from ditching to hauling to building construction, you name it).

Good point, because each thing we use our tractors for is a new learning experience so 200 hours might be low. While there is overlap, I also repeat mistakes occasionally. I guess we'll always be learning. Slow, methodical, and attention to detail are important for safety.
