On my NH TN70DA with 32LC loader I have a Quick-Attach setup. I was under the impression that it will fit any Quick-Attach device with that style. I have available a 90" snow/ light material bucket (Bobcat brand) to use/try out for snow removal. I tried to install it in the tractor loader. The female end on the bucket and male end on the tractor fit in fine. I could not lock the bucket on. It seemed like the wedges were lining up in the holes on the bucket. I did not have time to look into it further to see exactly was is going on. The bucket comes from a bobcat skid loader. The tag on the bucket says bobcat on it too. Not sure if this matters but the bobcat has a hydraulic lock to lock the bucket in.

Is there a difference in Quick-Attach setups?

I don't have much time to mess around, try and get to fit. We have 2 of our 3 plow trucks down with a snow event coming. One truck has a broken reverse band in the transmission. The other has electric plow pump motor that needs repairing/replacing. Plus I have about 16 hrs of snow removal to do before the storm hits tomorrow! Did I mention I was busy /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif.

Thanks again for your help.

Had some time last night to take some measurements. The locking wedges on the loader measure 35 1/4" outside to outside. The snow bucket void (where the wedges lock) measures 34 7/8" outside to outside.

Is this a problem with manufacturing or a just a non compatible?

On a lot of the attachments that have been around long enough to go from machine to machine you will see "adjustments with a hot knife". It isn't unusual to see the void made larger so it will fit easier on other pieces of equipment.

However, if you bought the bucket from a dealer I'd let them do the adjustment. Either by replacing the bucket or getting out their torch along with an apology.

If you bought it used then I'd adjust it myself and keep on trucking.

Count your blessings. Busy while it will wear you down is much better than the alternative.

Based upon the info you provided, I agree with the above post. It seems like every now and again I get something to use on my JD QA items and there is just a little "misalignment." We could go thru the headaches of return/replacment, sometimes worth the load, trip and negotiations, or make the adjustment. If there is suitable metal left after cutting/grinding to provide adequate attachment strength we make the change. Good luck

Row,

I've heard this before from other NH quick-attach folks. I believe NH is not conforming to the "bobcat standard". Maybe they only want you to buy NH quick-attach implements or something. Lately Kubota has been good about it and they fully comply from what I've found. Pretty frustrating, I know. --If you advertise and market "quick-attach", then follow the **** standard! A person shouldn't have to bring his machine with him to ensure the attachments will work.
