I am interested in a quick attatch for the 3 pt hitch on my BX1860. My box blade and disc are setup with hitch pins facing in! While my short single point plow from Tractor supply is setup only with pins out. It hooks up but i have to open the arms ALL the way out to hook it up. I have searched and I am confused if a cat 1 quick hitch will hook up right.
I do not have any pto implements so shaft length will be no problems. Any info will be appreciated.

I have a BX25 that I just set up a quick hitch on. A lot of older implements are not set up for the 26" O-O of the lower hooks. In material whether the pins look out or in, it's the maesurements that count. All implements labeled quick hitch ready are set up for those measurements. Older stuff you may need to be modified to meet the hook measurements. You may also need a longer top link for the tractor side. If you have PTO implements the extra 4" away from the tractor may require a longer shaft. I lucked out on my mower and tiller. Some inplements need flexible connection on the top link so there are two other straps you use instead of the top hook. Your QH ready implement manual should discuss this. Once you figure the system out it is pretty easy to see the mods you need to do. All three pins will need bushings on them to match up to the diameter of the hooks. Some QHs come wth them some do not. They are not a standard item in the accessory catalogs like SpeeCo. My QH came w/o pins and bushings so I bought them individually from a Land Pride dealer. Land Pride has a QH for over $400. I bought a Harbor Freight one so it was a challange (that's a nother story that is in another Post) I still have a very nice setup now for around $200. If money is not the driving factor buy a SpeeCo or other implement dealer and get it all in one package. I am cheap and very handy on fixes. I have to modify the old disc I just bought for $50. I am and old timer so I got tried of crawling in the dirt messing with the standard 3PT. The QH is one of the best things I have done. As you move along if you are like me you will have the right pins and bushings on each implement on them so you do not have to move them around or worse find them.
