I put a grapple on my LS XR4046HC and love it. my problem is the quick connects. when there is pressure I can't get them to attach for anything. I ended up buying Pioneer 6010-4p-dc connectors that connect under residual pressure. I still find it really difficult to grab the female connector and push that down and then push the male in with the other hand. I have been using a pair of channel locks to grab and push the connector and have a way of holding it. is there a special tool/handle made to do this with? I had shoulder surgery and it is just getting to be a not so quick connection.: Any suggestions? ( 20131106_082717.jpg

Need to relieve the pressure after you turn it off by moving the control back n forth, then disconnect the line.

If it's the residual pressure causing the problems get a small wood dowel and a rag to keep handy, use the dowel to release the pressure by bumping it against the ball after wrapping the rag around it.....Mike

Here is what I do.. and I did notice you have two females on the machine and of course have two males on the implement. I have one of each.
Step one, when ready to take the grapple off. Turn off engine. Operate SCV both directions to relax pressure. If using electric/hydraulic. shut off engine, then turn on key again for power and active buttons on electric/hydraulic solenoid several times to relax pressure..
Step 2 Unhook the QC connectors. I put the male into the female on the grapple to keep them clean. and when I shove them together, I hold them together while pulling back on the outer ring of the female to relax the detent balls so that when I put them together I can do it quickly a couple of times, the idea is to "puke" out some of the fluid, then let the outer ring snap down, and hold the male connector. The idea of releasing some of the fluid, and we are talking about a few drops here, is so that no pressure can build up in the lines if they heat up by lying in the sun. Cover up the male and female on the tractor side by using the rubber covers.

When hooking back up, just make sure the tractor is not running, and hook up the plugs. I have never had any problems following this protocol. Since you have two male plugs on your implement, you could make up a short female to female hose to put over the two males, and let out a bit of fluid to help prevent pressure build up.

Yes it is the residual pressure, the only way I could get it to release was to take the fitting loose. it was so much pressure. I did try the moving the joystick in all directions also to release it but the pressure seems to be in the grapple. I let everything down and the jaws also. then shut down, turned my ignition back on to activate the electrical function and did the rotation thing. I bought the new connectors that will connect under pressure and it helps but I can't hold the female open and push the hose in.

Anyone have the link for that tool that relieves the pressure?

Murph has it right. Before you disconnect any hydraulic implement turn the engine off and then move the control lever back and forth 3-4 times to relieve any pressure in the tractor or implement. Then disconnect. The next time you reconnect it will be easy. No reason to beat up your self or your machinery.

Ok, how are you at fabricating things.. I could give you some ideas if this is still a problem

I am really well equipped to build things.
