After having used a Bobcat a bit, I think they have the best attachment system! You can even get hydraulic activated latches.
If I were to look at fast hitches, I would look at converting both the loader frame and the 3pt to the Bobcat system.
It would be nice to have a tooth bucket and smooth bucket on the loader that would interchange easily.
On the 3pt, the attachments would interchange easily. You could even throw your loader bucket on the back if needed.
If a person put auxillary hydraulics to the loader, and had a quik attach, they would have a lot of flexibility. Like, that 3pt auger that is useless in summer without down pressure. Imagine the hydraulic one mounted on the loader frame. I think it would be cool to have a hydraulic drive mower that could attach off either the 3pt or the loader arms.
The 3pt system is still great, even 60, almost 70 years later. Attaching to it though, is outdated. Everyone standardized for the most part on the 3pt eventually. Why cant they standardize on the attach system???
Having used the Bobcat, another thing is hydraulics. Sure would be nice to loose the dangerous PTO and go hydraulic. Going hydraulic would be equivilant to when the switch was made from belt drive to PTO.
I really like my CUT. But, there is a bit the manufacturers could learn from the skid steer guys. Bobcat already uses Kubota engines, why not Kubota use the Bobcat attach system?
