Quick Hitches Quick Hitch Not Alighning with Top Link

Would like to get your opinion on how to fix the problem of my quick hitch not mating up to my top link. I have a HF quick hitch and it work great on my implements except for my Woods FM. The bottom links fit perfect, but the top link on the quick hitch it aobut 1.5 inches left of the top link connection on the mower. I can't adjust the bottom links, because they only have about 1/2" clearence which is not enough room to get the top link over.

Also, if I can't get them to match up, will it hurt the mower to not have the top link hooked up?

Did you buy the HF quick hitch with - or without - the optional toplink adapters?

Yes I do have the adaptor, but do not have it installed. Was trying to just use the hitch. even with the adaptor, it would not align with the top link of the mower link.

Don't have any picures of it, but will try and get some tonight.

Can you adjust the antisway chains or bars that keep the draft arms from swaying sideways? There shouldn't be a problem with centering unless the mower top linkage has been bent sideways. bjr

Nothing is bent, the mower is brand new. It seems that either the top link on the QH or the Mower is off center. I will try to adjust the sway bars to see if that can straighten up the top link. It has been raining here for two days so I have not been able to take pictures or try differnet suggestions.
