quick hitch options

this tired old man needs some help getting a quick hitch rig for his 5525. what do you guys suggest? any brand i should avoid? thank you.

Harbor freight has two, one doesn't fit much, the other is what I have and for my 42hp kubota it's fine. I bought my father the same thing for his 5525 and it's holding up ok to and for the price it couldn't be beat. But.. my father is extremely gentle with his tractor and does nothing more than cut the pasture and grade the gravel road. What are your intended uses?

ITEM 97214-3VGA is the one I have and it seems to fit most implements fine, though some do need a little tweaking. Got my fathers for about $60 with a coupon.

i mostly do the same as your father but i won't say i am especially gentle. i have been know to frequently swing around and hit things with my bushhog. we have a hf store nearby so i will go see what they have. anything sub $100 is surely in my price range for now. i only have a cutter, box blade and a middle buster. thanks.

just check hf and they have them on sale for $79.99 till apr 6. i'll probably give it a shot unless someone has a better idea.

I don't think you'll be disappointed for the price. I'm fairly abusive with mine and it's holding up find. The bottom pins that come with it may need to be changed out eventually but find a coupon and tack on to the sale and it's a no brainer!

I got the one but I think it is too wide... The Outside measurement was like 32". I may need to cut the top bar down a couple of inches. Going to the farm 4/9/9 and see how it works. Also, I can use the hook at the top but I'll need to adapt something that I can put a pin through... Or can you buy an adaptor??

I also have the Model 97214 and love it... strange that they don't push the 3 PT adapter... I called and ordered the adapter "after the fact" ... set me back $8 plus shipping... Had I known, I would have ordered the adapter at the same time as the QH ... Grrrrr

Yes they do, but I can not remember the p/n and it isnt' on the website, I believe it's in the paperwork or you can do a search here and find it.

I doubt it's to wide, the problem is usually it being to narrow. You can always shim your pins on the implements out some.
