One of the most frustrating parts of getting this GC2410 is the almost total lack of info about the "connector" between the front mounted attachments (snowblower, rotary broom) from RAD Technologies.
Officially called the "Quick Hitch/Sub-frame" assembly. The hitch part hooks into the attachment and the sub-frame couples to the front bumper of the tractor. Mixed in there is at least one hydraulic cylinder for lift (a second for angle of attack on the broom or chute placement on the blower is also possible..) as well as the PTO shaft for driving the implement from the mid PTO.
When I bought my used GC2410, it came with the rotary broom and the "Quick Hitch/SubFrame." I don't need the broom, but will be able to save considerably on the blower by having the "Quick Hitch/SubFrame."
So, with all that in mind, I separated the "Quick Hitch/SubFrame" (I'm copying and pasting now to save typing it over and over..) from the broom as it was losing some factory paint and I wanted to spruce it up.
I got out the manual to understand the parts and make sure when the time came to put it to use with the new 2360 blower I am searching for, it would not let me down. That is when I discovered that my particular unit has a couple of parts NOT shown in the operators manual. I was hoping someone here could offer understanding if possible...
Adding to the "What?" of seeing these additional parts, was the realization that one of them is bent. At least it appears that way, but, seeing as these parts are not referenced in the manual, I cannot tell what their purpose is, nor what their proper shape is supposed to be. In this case, I'm pretty sure the part is bent, but beyond straightening it out, it would be good to understand what the parts are for if possible.
See pics below. First the illustration from manual, minus parts. Second, same angle, actual hitch, part outlined. Third, close up on extra (bent?) part.

QUESTION: Does anyone know what these plates are for?
Thanks.
UPDATE: Even before posting this thread, I decided to call the manufacturer of the implements in Quebec, Canada. It took a few minutes to get the right person, but their tech people were very helpful. The "extra" parts are called "preventer plates" and come with the rotary broom attachment to prevent the raising of the broom too high. I guess the previous owner decided to push that cylinder to the point of bending the preventer plate. Problem solved, but posted here for anyone wondering about these in the future.
