I bought a quick hitch a while back and just realized I didn't
receive the lower pin adaptors. Am I right to assume I need to use these? If so do I also have to get a set for every piece
of equipment. I know I should of checked the box when I received it. Any ideas on the cheapest place to purchase these.
Thanks for the information,

I've had a quick hitch for several years and I use the pin adaptors. I buy them at our local John Deere dealer for about a buck apiece. I tried using implements without the adaptors, but I don't like the way they "bang" around. I haven't checked to see if TSC carries the adaptors, but I wouldn't be surprised.

When I go to my John Deer dealer do I ask for quick hitch adaptors? Or are they called lower pin bushings? If they are what size?

Thank you for the quick response.

They are usually called implement adapter bushings and you need 2 for the lower connections and a different one for the top connection on each implement you want to use. The bottom bushings are typically held in place with drift pins, and the top is typically bolted in place. Just ask for Category I or Category II depending on what your implements are.

Thanks , I didn't know I needed some thing for the top. I'll check with my dealer to see what they have.

I received one set with the quick hitch and bought a couple more from TSC. The cat 1 to cat 2 adapter sleeves are less expensive and serve the same purpose. While recently purchasing a large quantity of nuts and bolts, I found that adapter bushings are available from a local fastener dealer and are significantly less expensive than those at TSC or purchased from the OEM.

This is interesting. I've never felt the need for an adaptor for the top hook; the upper connector doesn't seem to jump around like the ones on the bottom do if I don't use adaptors. I have no idea if these little metal tubes have a name other than "adaptors for Category 1 pins." I just go to the cardboard box near the door to the men's john at the John Deere dealer and pick out as many as I need.

I found the sleeves at my John Deere dealer $0.75 a piece
cheap enough. Thanks for the help.
