John Deere 4110, John Deere 332,
Someone told me the Farm Pro (HDC Hitch) is the exact copy of the JD Imatch? Is this so or is there a difference? He is trying to sell me one and I haven't looked at it?
Thanks

I don't know. I'd suggest you either measure the two carefully and accurately from every angle or get engineering diagrams to compare and decide for yourself.

I have the Deere iMatch, and from what I've seen of other hitches, I don't think the green one has anything extra special about it (and I am green through and through /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif).
I would double check that the dimensions are the same, but I suspect they are. Also, check the price of an iMatch (seems they are around $200± from others posting here).
I find mine to be very handy, and am presently trying to design the parts needed to add to my FEL forks, so the iMatch will pick them up for a 3pt lift of pallets (plan to post a thread for some ideas soon).

I guess I was wrong about the manufacture, I misunderstood him, it is a Speeco? Sounds worse than Farm Pro!

Beenthere,

Indeed their is something special about the JD iMatch hitch. It conforms exactly to all of the ASAE and SAE hitch dimension standards. Most of the other brands mentioned do not. For example, they may have the correct width, but not the correct mast height.

Midwest is another of the quick hitches that is built to the standards.

Then if you stick to implements made to the standards as well, you will be assured that you can hook up without having to get out a torch and welder. Some examples of manufacturers that follow the standards include: JD, Frontier, Woods Estate Series, & Midwest. There may be others as well.

According to our Local Kubota Dealer the (Speeco Hitch) meets those Standards! He thought they all, now meet the ASEA Standards.

For what its worth......

I just bought a 2001 790 with a 242 Finish Mower and FEL. I then purchased a new:

iMatch (Deere)
Boxblade
Landscape Rake
Shredder
Rear Blade

All the implements exept the JD 272 Finish Mower are "other" brands....and all fit the iMatch with exception of the JD 272 Finish mower!!! Go Figure!

Love my Deere...will love the iMatch once my welding buddy amends my finish mower to fit!

Well you can excomunicate me as I purchased a Speeco Quick hitch. I'm going to hide it in my workshop until I can paint it(JD Green)then bring it out in the open.Go to confessions and get everything right. It's a pretty Decent looking hitch and has the adjustable top link. I hope my 4110 will stand still when I install it.

I have a Speeco that was painted TSC Faded Red . I painted it Kubota Orange. By the time I got it to fit all my attachments it needed a new coat of paint. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Make it fit all your attachments before you paint it. Your tractor will not notice the color, after it finds out how easy it is hook up attachments. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
