Kioti CK27
Not sure if this belongs in Kioti sub forum so mods move if necessary.

I am getting a DK series Kioti. My current CK has a bucket which is removed via pins and the entire assembly (bucket and arms) rests on legs.

The DK has levers you flip and the bucket comes off and the loader arms remain on tractor.

What is the purpose of the arm assembly remaining in place.

Is it so you can attach something like a grapple or forks for pallets.

it seems like if you wanted the front to be "clear" the entire thing would come off like on the CK. With the quick release bucket I'm still driving around with a few hundred pounds in front of me as I cut the fields.

Also how do I attach a grapple? I have watched the videos on Everything Attachments and they say drill holes in bucket for mounting. I'm not comfortable doing this.

If you change out multiple quick attachments every day or week it is not feasible to take the carrier frame off also as it takes up too much time. Here at my pecan orchard I may switch from bucket to skid loader/tree limb carrier 4-5 times a day. I always leave the carrier frame attached. I assume if I only used the front end implements once a year or so I might take the frame off also but I see no advantage so far in 45 years of tractor use....

You are partially right in that a QA bucket is to allow switching attachments easier than pulling pins and trying to realign them. Lots of folks will remove the FEL frame for mowing (I don't). I leave mine own so I can still use the FEL if I need to. If I approach a fence and think I might not be able to get close enough, I just raise the FEL up over it and it is just like not having it on. ON my cab-less Yanmar, I used the FEL arms to keep the tree limbs off me also, this was before I trimmed them all up high enough to drive under.
Most FELs on CUTs can be removed by just dropping the loader support bar, pulling two pins and then using the hydraulics, raise the loader arms out of the bracket, back up a bit, then lower it back down, kill the engine cycle the joystick to release all the pressure on the loader and unplug the hoses. Temperature variations may cause pressure to build up in the hoses while setting, so before trying to hook back up, tap the balls on the connections on the FEL on a piece of wood to release the pressure.

On the DKse series you can remove just the SSQA bucket in a few seconds and re-attach it just as quickly.. Just throw one lever and lower and back out of the bucket. You can remove the loader arms in a couple of minutes by lowering your stands to form and "A" frame of the stands and the flat bottom of the bucket, Pull 2 large pins, raise arms out of their recesses, then stop the engine. relieve pressure on the hoses, uncouple the hoses and back out of the loader arms. Now you have a completely "clean" tractor. You mentioned removing the "bucket" by pulling pins, and I think you meant to say you removed the entire loader. You can still remove the loader like I mention above or you can just remove the bucket in seconds to replace it with forks or a grapple in literally 10 seconds or however many seconds it takes to get your butt off and on the tractor.

If this has the skid steer quick release, then you can use m ost any skid loader accessories. You can also purchase addapter plates and build your own impliments, or adapt existing implements.
