Quick-Tach for 400 series compatibility

I read in the JD 4000 series brochure that the front Quick-Tach hitch used on the 4100 is the the same or uses the same design as the ones for the 400 series. Can anybody confirm this? I own a 400 series with the hitch, could I install the same front hitch on a 4100 tractor?

I too recall seeing that in the brochure. My impression is there is an adapter for the 4100 that will mate to the 400 series front mounted implements. If nobody here can answer I'm sure a call to your dealer will solve the mystery /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

The hitch is not the same. On the implement side they are both same so a blade moldboard for a 4100 should fit a 400 but the tractor side of the hitch is different to mount on the different tractors. Hope this helps

I have the front snowblower, blade, and broom on my 4100. My buddy has a 425 with a snowblower on the front and it connects the same way at the final quick-tatch point. The raise/tilt assembly, front PTO, and adapter bracket from that point back, are however different. He can borrow the broom or the blade, but I think he would need to add the angling kit to his 425 front hitch system.

In fact, when I purchased the snowblower, it was from a dealer who doesn't sell CUT's, but he had the snowblower in stock because its the same part number as for the 400's. The only difference was the driveshaft kit was different (longer?) and some extenders for the hyd. lines, but he was able to order these parts.
