Quick Trailer Jack Question

/ Quick Trailer Jack Question #11
Since were on the subject, I bought a used trailer and the trailer jack is pretty rusted. Takes two men and horse to crank the thing. If it was bolted on I would just put a new one on, but it's welded. Is there something I can do the get if free'd up.

I had a similar problem and after fooling around with it for way too long, I cut off the old one, drilled three holes and bolted on a new one.

none of mine will screw all the way out. not saing yours won't though.

if you have pb oil.. work with that.. no need to buy anything.

once you get it freed up. if there is an opening at the top big enough for an oil can, give it a squirt of some kind of oil each time you use it. engine, tranny, rear end.. etc. pretty much won't matter..

On my trailer jacks the top cap just pops right off letting you see all the good stuff inside. :D
