Okay, so this thread is really just an excuse to use my new digital camera.
I had a problem picking up my MX6 and box blade with the Speeco hitch. The bracket holding the adjustable top hook would hit the implements about 1/4 inch before the top hook would get lined up under the top pin. It took alot of up/down/forward/back manipulation to get things to line up. And when they finally did, the implement would tear up and bend the clevis pins and sometimes knock off the hairclips on the clevis pins. Then I would have trouble unhooking everything because the top pin was in a bind. So, I brought the hook to my buddy's machine shop and he welded a piece of 1-1/4 inch key stock on the back of the hook and re-drilled the mounting holes. This effectively moved the hook back about 1 inch. Now the hook lines up with top pin and the implement doesn't touch the bracket anymore. A small adjustment on the toplink brings the implement level again and compensates for the top hook now being slightly farther back than the lift hooks.
My next mission is to make my Befco RFM quik-hitch compatible. After all, I need a reason to use the camera again. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
