new holland tc- 35
I have a NH tc-35 hydro with 16 LA loader.
The range selector button (turtle / rabbit on loader control ) no longer works.
It is in high range all the time.
It would shift down at first when I pushed the turtle button but would not stay in turtle when the button was released.
Now it will not go into turtle mode at all.
Anyone have any experience with this issue?

Had a similar issue with a DX40 (TC40DA) a few years ago. High/low stopped switching while moving brush.

I found a smallish wire disconnected under the tractor. I think it was near the left brake pivot. Once reconnected, the switch functioned again. I hope it's something simple like this.

I attached a photo from under the left side where the brake levers pivot. I think the wire was the one on the left side of the photo. Good luck!

If you are certain that it is stuck in Rabbit instead of stuck in Turtle, then the problem almost surely has to be the joystick switch or the fender switch is stuck in the Rabbit position. The reason it is not a wire loose is that a loose wire will cause the system to stay in Turtle and it will never switch to Rabbit. In other words, the default (unpowered) position is turtle, NOT Rabbit as you said yours is.

Just bought a tc35d, I noticed the 2 positions on the joy stick, what does this do.

Thanks for the great info ( as usual ) Jinman.
I didn't get a chance to take a good look at it today. (Tax appt. with accountant)
I was not aware that there's a rabbit turtle switch located on the fender.
Does that switch override the switch on the loader control?

Make sure the rabbit button on your joysick isn't stuck.

Yes, right beside the cruise switch, but it is just in parallel with the joystick switch. I've had the joystick switches stick down as wrenchguy pointed out. Make sure your joystick rabbit switch is not stuck.
