I have looked in the workshop manual on the CK-20 HST trying to find the size of the lower radiator hose so I can purchase a radiator hose heater for winter. Does anyone know the actual size of the lower radiator hose so I can order the radiator hose heater and get it installed before winter? Thanks in advanced.

Good Question. No I have not tried measuring it. I guess I want to know what size it is BEFORE I disconnect everything and drain the water and CUT the hose to install the heater. Measuring a round piece of hose doesn't quite cut it when your dealing with 1/8th inches. So it would be nice if someone out there knows the cross dimension of the lower radiator hose and could share it with me. That way I will know what size heater to purchase. Thanks in advance. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

On my tractor, I was able to measure the outlet with a caliper where the hose stopped. Mine was 1-1/2" and I went to the local NAPA and purchased the heater and clamps for $35.

I just went to my tractor dealer and asked for a heater for my 3054xs and he got me the right one. No problem.

Bill, thank you very much for your response. I will order a heater for 1-1/2 inch hose and get it installed before the snow flies. Thanks again for your help. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think he has a AgKing 2840 shuttle shift Tractor not a Kioti. 1 1/2" would be to large for your CK20 I believe. I think yours is around 1" in I.D.

Asobill, NAPA had the heaters in 1/4" increments and I'm sure that they will have one that will work on your tractor. I didn't mean that yours would be 1-1/2". I cut out about 1-2" of the lower hose and installed the heater inline. Plug the heater in for 30 minutes (no matter how cold) and my tractor fires right up. Mine started hard if the temperature dropped below 30 degrees.

This is when you just guess and buy a few of the heaters. Use the one that fits and return the others.

A good relationship with the NAPA guy goes a long ways.
