Re: Radiator \"Stop Leak\" products

Just watch your engine temp. I had a truck once that used to over heat terribly because the radiator had leaked and someone had kept dumping bars leak or something similar in it. Finally had most of the cores plugged.

Check around on radiator prices. There's a garage near me that has sold me several new radiators for about half of JC Whitney's advertised price and far cheaper than any of the other auto parts stores. You might be able to get a new one cheaper than having it repaired. Might be worth checking on.

Re: Radiator \"Stop Leak\" products

i had a honda civic years ago. put some of that stop leak in it. ended up plugging up the heater core. complete deashboard had to come out of the car to replace it. cost me over 500.oo. would of been cheaper to have the radiator repaired. we learn by our mistakes!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
