Radio for Cab Tractor

/ Radio for Cab Tractor #12
I have a B26 without an enclosed cab. I installed a spare car radio, a high end model, when I got my tractor but it turned out I never used it because of the background noise. I don't want to use headphones for safety reasons, one so I can be aware of my surrounding, and the other in case the tractor starts making funny (read expensive to repair) noises.

An enclosed cab may be a very different noise environment though.

I agree with the junkyard option... any radio will work. I got a decently rated Kenwood off Amazon for under 3 figures. Only complaint is the LCD is too dim to read easily, even mounted up high out of the sun.

All that being said $90 for that one from Messicks is going to be hard to beat I bet. $10 alone for the adapter if you put it together yourself, $20 for a fully built one. Radios are pretty commodity these days so I expect it would work well. I'd likely go that route if I had it to do over.
