I have just installed a radio in my tractor this afternoon. Installion went well. Only thing is when I shut the tractor off the radio does not remember the preset buttons. It's a radio that I got from the junk yard , not a Kubato radio. I remember seeing some on here that are electronics people. Thank you all very much..............teddy

There will be a wire on the radio that will need to hooked to the battery to keep the memory. It usually is some other color than the red wire that hooks to your ingnition. They are usually labeled either on the wires or on the radio case.

Did you have any extra wires after the install?

Frist thank you for your efforts. Yes I had many wires left over after the install. I only used two speakers so part of them were speaker wires. Seems like there was a blue wire in the bundle with the power wires. I will have to take the top back off to see. I have been working on this project a long time but it is near completion now. I like the sound of my speakers, I got the 90 watts at Walmart. I got a lot of info from this place..........have a good holicay mike

Teddy … the memory power wire is normally YELLOW. It should not be a switched source of power but don’t forget to have it fused… I also enjoy cab with AC and music /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif. KennyV.

Frank, they got down at the dealer. I know the ecomomy is better in Texas than mississippi. If I hadn't bought this a year ago, I don'tguess I would do it now. High gas prices are triming a lot of things off my wish list. Last week I had to buy a new computer and boy do I love it. My next purchase is one of those energy saving (hopefully money saving) propane gas heaters. My neighbor has one, and if he is correct last year it really helped out. But remember these in this house were put in during the sixties.....enough idle talk and I hope you had a good holiday teddy
