Usually when I need to use my box scraper, I need my rake also. Transporting both of them and tractor together can be a problem. The trailer I use is mutually owned so mounting implements to it is out of the question. Using what scraps I had laying around I can transport the rake on top of the scraper. Granted it take two of us to lift it off, not a problem as my son is usually with me. I would bet there are some clever ideas some other members have come up with and I would like to see them.:)

What about droping the combo and lifting rake off with the loader?

It might be light on the back but I would try it carfully!

I've thought about that but it does take time to unhitch 3pt. Another thing I thought about was the added weight of the rake to the box scraper? Could just leave it on until I was ready to use it.

That's what I was thinking.
Seeing your rake like that in the last photo made me think of having a rotating frame over the boxblade.
The rake attached to that and rotated forward when not in use like you have it. Then rotate backwards to engage the tines. Except figure out a way to use the rake frame so you could still off set and angle it. You have 2 implements in one and the weight of both working for you.
Anyway, just a crazy thought...

I was waiting for you to chime in Rob. I new this would get you thinking and come up with a really cool idea!!!!! Originally that is what I was thinkiing about in my head but just stared at it awile and decided to post it. Let me know what you come up with.:D

Hahaha, that's funny.
I am guilty of over designing and trying to have one implement do it all. LOL ... It was worth the post though. It might get you thinking about it as well. Heck, you're halfway there already having that rake up on top of your boxblade like that. Now think about how to get it down easily and drag it behind your boxblade.
I'll bet you come up with something.:)

I'm curious since you like to have both with you, do you use the boxblade first and then switch to the rake?
Or visa versa?

Yes box first. Using the rake last seems to smooth things up. After plowing snow in my gravel driveway area, sometimes gravel will get pushed into edge of yard. I just back up to it and drag it back, then rake it smooth. I have also used the rake in around ponderosa and lodgepole pine and to pick up needles, small pieces of wood and branches, also kinda thatches the area and makes grass grow better.
