Oil & Fuel Ran out of fuel -- Could I have air in line?

/ Ran out of fuel -- Could I have air in line? #11
I have never had to bleed downstream from the injector pump, or crank the engine.

I have just bled air then fuel at the three points I described above and it has started every time.

I got this recommended procedure from one of the oldest Yanmar dealers who occasionally posts here.

Same here, I had to change out the fuel shut off valve and fuel filter bowl and when finished, bled the filter out but didnt see the bleed on the injector pump. It cranked up and ran 10 feet and died. I started to break the injector lines and then saw the spring loaded bleeder on the injector pump. I popped it a few time and got some bubbles out. Tried it again and it fired right up. No need to bleed the lines to the injectors.
