New Holland TL80
Hi everyone,
I am excited to be a part of this site.
I have already obtained some good information and I hope to share my knowledge with everyone.
I was plowing yesterday and I ran out of diesel in my New Holland TL80 tractor. Was wondering how to go about getting it primed.

Some new pumps are self priming but it might take lot of cranking to do so. The idea is to get rid of all air in the line feeding the injection pump before you start cranking. There should be a chapter about that in your owner manual.

Assume you are back running by now. Seems like every tractor model line has its own procedure so your owners manual is the source. Thought I could make the last field of wheat combining last Thursday and was over half way on my last round when I ran out. Put in fuel, cranked for a long time with no success. Pulled out my iPhone where I have put the copy of my operators manual that I scanned, checked for, "running out of fuel", followed the procedure, and in 2 minutes I was back cutting.
