Random Grinding when PTO is engaged

Yep, a gaser. Well the shop dynoed the tractor and couldn't get it to break. So it is on it's way back home.
Looks like I'll be building a way to split the tractor on a dirt floor safely.

plywood on the ground.. like 3/4 makes a surface a floor jack will roll on. 2x plank wood.. like 2x12 can as well... but costs more as you need a plank fo rhte tires to track on and plank(s) for the center jack.. thus the plywood sugestion. btdt.. i work on dirt too....

Baled last night and the mysterious noise poked its head twice. Both times was when the wind row was very thick.

Looks like I found my winter project. To many things I need to do right now that require the tractor. Hopefully I can limp her along.

have you checked pressure on the hyd ind pto clutch? if it looses pressure.. it will slip

No I have not. I'll add it to my list to check.

Wouldn't they have seen this when they dynoed the tractor? They claimed to have really stressed the tractor and loaded it down to the point the tractor wanted to die.

The only difference would be the tractor is in gear and moving whereas when they dyno it, it's not moving.
