Antietam Tractor in Hagerstown, MD is having an Open House this Friday and Saturday. I have a list of attachments that I covet, but can't get them all at once. The open house should be a good time to get a good deal, so here's what I'd like to get in no particular order:

Chipper/Shredder
Rotary Cutter
Post Hole Digger
Middle Buster/Sub-soiler

What order of importance do you think I should consider these? It would be for a Kubota B7800. I already have a box scraper. The property it will be used on is 20 wooded acres.

Thanks,
Darrell

If you don't have a front end loader that would be #1 on my list.

Front end loader
rotary cutter
chipper shredder
post hole digger
middle buster / sub soiler.

Just my 2 cents worth....

It depends upon what you want to do as to what attachment you should get first. Where I live the first thing I needed was a cutter, but for someone else they may need one of the other attachments first. My subsoiler came in second. Then blade and finally a box blade. Again it all depends on what you need/want to do.

What about a backhoe or a quick attach grapple? I know those are pricey but I use my backhoe and box blade the most. If you're removing any trees or shrubs, the grapple will come in handy.
I assume you have an FEL or that would be 1st on my list too.

I got the flyer but the prices seemed pretty high this year. I went and got a Woods tiller last year and it was a mad house on Sat. People parked everywhere. The guy who was going to load my tiller couldn't get to it because someone parked in the way and we couldn't find out who it was. My brother and the other guy ended up picking the tiller up and lifting it over another tiller and out to where he could pick it up with the skid steer.
As far as the rotary cutter and the post hole digger, I think I would just get those items at Tractor Supply.
Good luck if you venture out there.
Just as an FYI, Justin quoted me $6,000 for BH75 backhoe with subframe and 12 inch bucket installed on my 7800.

It's up in the air in my opinion...since these attachments vary greatly in applications I'd have to ask what the next major project is for your 20 acres. If it were my choice, the rotary cutter would absolutely be the first thing on my list. Next, the post hole digger/auger, then the middle buster and finally the chipper...but that's because my land is already fenced and I already have a subsoiler/middle buster. Since I'm in an upkeep phase, I'd pick the rotary cutter first.

I'm at the raw stage with the land. I've got brush to cut, dead trees and downed limbs to clean up, some fencing and gates to put up, trails to clear, etc. I'm starting from scratch on everything. BTW, I do have an FEL.

For your needs, it would appear a rotary cutter should be your next attachment. You can put a chain hook on your FEL which is very useful for lifting and dragging things (branches, logs) that don't fit easily in your FEL.

Darrell , I think the rotary cutter would be my first choice . And though You didn't say whether You had one ,or not ,a tooth bar for the FEL . And , While I'm spending YOUR money /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif a good heavy rear blade might come in handy for clearing snow .

I'd skip the chipper, just burn or let rot. I have 20 ac of woods so the bush hog has limited value.

here's what I have in no order;
FEL
BH
Grader blade
Box blade/yard box
Bush hog
Cup holder/beverage holder(2 is better)
Home made ditch digging tool, kinda like a wide middle buster
7000 GW trailer

Wish list;

Post hole digger
1 more cup holder/beverage holder
