I am not too sure but using your equipment should bring $50-60 if you are doing it under his name using his insurance . He is probably going to charge around $80-100 I would guess. It will also differ if he is transporting it for you and giving you fuel or not. I could be way off here, I have never done it this way, probably someone that has will give you a better answer.

Here in Northern, VA I was getting $110 per hour for me and my tractor with front end loader and blade. I was sub-contracted on a government contract. When I do residential, however, I drop to $75/ hour or charge a fixed amount depending on the job.

You have to figure your operating costs first. What the tractor per hour burns, insurance, transport time, and any other expenses.. Then your hourly rate on top of that.. Are you using a pusher or just the loader? Cab or out in the elements ? I wont be out in the elements making $60 an hour moving snow I will say that ! Tell him to make an offer and if your happy with it put it in a contract !

i'm still in the $75 an hour camp, whether it's on a trailer or working. A good job with a few hours, maybe only charge one way travel time? I live in an area of a pretty depressed economy, nobody drops a plow unless they can avg $75 an hour, at minimum. If you had 3 or 4 driveways to do in a close area, you should be able to get $100 an hour and provide good service. Line up 4 driveways at $25 a pop, take 45/60 minutes, move on the the next group of driveways?

Here in Kansas City, our average is $85/hr for a tractor/loader, skid loader etc. Although, when I put my spreader on the back and pull "double duty" I'm able to charge $110/hr not including salt/ice melt.
Residential however, is pretty cheap. Generally $25-$35 for a "normal" urban 40-50 ft driveway. Here in more rural parts, drives start @ $75 and go up from there.
