I have a Land Pride RCR1872. It's still working, but here's the deal.
I ran it for a while with the gear box bolts loose (from the cutter deck). During that time, the shaft coming out of the gear box that the slip clutch attaches to got worn down and now there is considerable play between the slip clutch and the gear box. Now with the gear box tightened down, the slip clutch is wobbling some when I'm cutting. I assume this is not good.
Do I have to change out the whole gear box? Just finished a few hours of tough work with it, and it works OK, but I broke a shear bolt at the end of the job.
I think it was a grade 2, so going back to a grade 8 for the next session.
Thanks in advance for reading.
