I am expecting my 4310 anyday now but I would like some clarification on the 3rd SCV. I know that some people here have the 3rd SCV remotes to the rear of the tractor, what I am trying to find out is do the front outlets come with the 3rd SCV too. I have seen some people here with 4in1 buckets and they have two remotes under there dual scv in the front. I am trying to get that on my tractor but my dealer doesn't understand it. All he knows about are the rear 3rd SCV remotes. Are these front 3rd SCV remotes custom build, or JD parts? I am getting a mmm but I might get a 4in1 someday also, so it would seen like a better idea to just have the lines run to the area of a front 3rd SCV than all the way to the rear remotes with huge lengths of hose. Some pictures to show my dealer would also be helpful, Thanks guys.

John Deere offers a 4N1 bucket, and it requires a 3rd valve. On my 4410 this is mounted on the right of the seat, near the FEL joystick. Maybe if he were to make like he was installing the hydraulics for the 4N1 he would better understand what was required. I'm sure that must be documented by Deere for the dealer somehow. (happy to take some photos of mine to further clarify).

johnno,

What you need your dealer to order is JD code number 9049 under attachments on the 430 FEL build page. It is called "Third Function Hydraulic Lines and Hoses". This kit comes with the metal hydraulic lines that mount right next to the existing lines on the right side of the FEL. They run from where the bucket attaches to 2 hydraulic couplers that are mounted above the DSCV couplers on the right side of the tractor. There are two short hoses to connect the hyraulic lines to the couplers so you can detatch these when you remove the FEL. Also 2 longer hoses are included to go from the couplers I mentioned above to the 3rd SCV couplers that are mounted on the back of your tractor. The list price for this kit is $300 which you have to order seperate from the 3rd SCV and 4in1 bucket. Also I'm sure dealer will charge extra for the installation of the hoses and lines.

If you don't get the kit you could just run very long hoses from the bucket to the 3rd SCV outlets. I think this looks sloppy and leaves you open to catching the hoses on something while you work.

The kit really looks great and clean looking when installed properly. It also gives you the ability to disconnect where the other FEL hoses disconnect or at the bucket if you just want to do a quick bucket swap. This kit also could be used for a hydraulic FEL mounted snow plow instead of the bucket.

The only problem I find is switching from the 4in1 to the MMM is a real pain. The 3rd SCV is used by both so you have to swap hoses at the rear of the tractor.

Thanks very much for the help with the part #. I gave it to the dealer and he understood what I wanted so he ordered it. $300 installed but it will be worth it for the 4in1 if i do get it.
