Bought tc34da last fall with 914A installed. Took it off to use rotary cutter on rough ground and now I am stuggling to re-install the MMM. When I took the 914A off, I followed the instructions, lowered the unit all the way and pulled the four pins holding it to the brackets intalled on my tractor. I figured I was in trouble then becasue the parts on the tractor jumped up with much force even though my lift controls were all the way down. I figured I'd worry about it in the Spring and now...
My Super Steer makes it real easy to move it into position. Sure enough, even with my lift controls all the way down, there is a good distance beteen the tractor brackets up front and the target holes on the mower. A neighbor figures he can adjust the turnbuckle on the rod to lower the bracket arms and then if the leveler on the 3 pt hitch lift arms is as low as it can go, we can get that side on. If the other lift arm is repinned to the lowest hole, it will fit on that side but the book says that's a no-no.
Hey, take it easy on me and give me some hints but make sure you undestand you are talking to a guy who has run tractors for 25 years but who has p---Poor mechanical skills.
