Re: loader "multi-function" loader control problem

I looked at the videos several times, and did not see a problem.

Are you saying that you can't push or pull the lever at say a 45, 135, 225, and 315 degree angle, and have both spools operate?

How much time would it take to pull the lever full back and pop the lever to the right for both spools to activate.

If you push the lever to 45 degrees, each spool will use about half of the pump volume.

With you looking closely at the spool shafts, if you put the lever at a 45 degree angle, are both spools moving at about the same distance. If so, then there should be equal action on the lift arms and the bucket.

It's not that I CAN'T push the lever at those positions.... in face, there's NO problem at 45 deg and 225 deg (both positions coincidentally roll "horizontal" to the dual valve ball-joints). The problem is that when I move the lever at 135 deg AND 315 deg - those positions move "vertically" in tandem with both joints. It's difficult to find just the right spot, and that is NOT the case on other loaders I've used, both from Kioti and Kubota. Watch the video again and pay attention to how there is NOT a smooth distribution between each valve when at those positions. Sure, in a test environment I can very slowly and carefully find just the right spot... but when using in real world applications, it's not easy to feather it into place. I am postulating that a longer lever might help, as the short lever accentuates this problem... a longer lever may help to "feather" it at these spots, due to the increased leverage.

Are these size hoses & fittings easily found so I can adjust their length and locations? I may try to re-locate it and swap in a longer lever, especially since I'll want to add a 3rd function control (front grapple) anyhow in the future, and it looks like this particular lever head might not accommodate that as well as some other lever heads.

I am puzzled by something.

You mentioned boom and bucket, is what you have on the rear of the tractor.

Also are the cyl SA cyl?

If those are DA cyl, and you are using the joystick to control them, I only see two hoses on the valve.

J_J, he is referring to the bucket loader - lift vs curl. The joystick runs 2 cables to under the floor board to run the actual valve. Therefore, you only see the cables.

Exactly, boom refers to the loader arms. I don't know what you mean by the acronyms, DA, etc...

DA = Double acting cyl

SA = Single acting cyl

I see now that your valve is cable operated.
