Re-manufactured Steering Box

Can someone tell me what re-manufacturing a steering box entails? Advise on brands? Explanation why I appear to have the only running 6.5 TD half ton Chevy that steers like a drunk driving simulator?

If you disconnect the power steering belt or whatever is driving the pump, and then drive it, you will have a much better idea that it is the steering box and not an alignment problem or some joint starting to seize.

Steering boxes rarely go unless you are rock jumping.
