RE: New TC18

Hello everyone,
Just recieved my new TC18 after 6 long weeks. I've been out all weekend working it. I can't say enough about this tractor. I plan on some modifications , new pipe bumber, 2000# winch and plenty of work lights. Keep you posted.

Welcome to TBN.
Glad to read you enjoy your TC18...but a winch on the mighty blue /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif according to JimBin the mighty blue doesn't need a winch...opps I guess you haven't had time to read some of his post. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
Would the bumper be fitted to the rear or the front, and did you also get a FEL.

Enjoy and stay safe.

Ohhhhhh, another Mighty TC18 owner. You won't believe what you will be able to do with this tractor. I believe JimBin can fill you in on those details. My understanding though is that the Caterpillar Co. is mad at New Holland because the TC18 is replacing their D8 dozers. Have a splendid time with your new TC18, I'm sure you will get alot of use out of it.
P.S. Hopefully you got power steering.

Solo, Congratulations on your new tractor. I looked seriously at the TC 18 before deciding on the TC 21 D. You will be very pleased with the 18. I'm sure JimBinMI can share alot of info with you!!!!!!

Solo,

Congrats on the new TC18! I've owned mine for almost 2 years and love it. In some previous posts, probably in the archives by now, my Mighty TC18 was compared to Wen's Kubota M6800! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Enjoy, JimBinMI

Rat,

If you're really looking for "just" a mower, depending on how much you have to mow you might be better off just looking at a good quality ZTR. If you purchased a TC18 and used it just to mow you'd really be underutilyzing this very capable small compact tractor. Had I not decided that I needed to do some more than just mow, I would have probably bought a ZTR or a large garden tractor.

Good poiint Jim, I have tried the JD F510 but find it not only unsutable for my hill terrain, but a little weak for the tall grasses I mow. It is a great finish mower with bagging ability and very easy to handle. Rat...
