Re Power Fecon FTX 90 with cummins

Hey everyone thanks for letting me join! just thought I would post my pictures of the conversion I did on my mulcher, haven't gotten it all buttoned up yet but its pretty close. I know most people swapped in the Yanmar as the cummins wouldn't quite fit, but I modified mine enough to make the 3.9 130hp cummins fit. I have photos of the whole process I'll try and upload more as time goes on!

Thanks! it took a bit of push to get it started since it was bent on the seam there but once it went it was fairly easy.

Thanks!, I'll try and post all my pictures eventually thought it seem time consuming on this forum.
Front motor mount and throttle cable bracket
throttle works backwards now from the Deutz, I could of made a butterfly bracket to change it back to the factory way but didn't feel it was worth it and extra stuff hanging off the engine, I'll grab some pictures of it installed sometime here when I am near it, so you can see.

Great job Lester. Definitely a tight fit for the Cummins.

What's the reason for the re-power? Lack of power on the Deutz?

The Deutz commited suicide, like they all did in these machines, Fecon swapped it over to a yanmar with a kit, but was very expensive and didn't gain much power, I wanted more power, and well I have lots of cummins so I am used to them.

This thread has me eyeing a FTX 90 that is in need of a motor and a mulcher.

I don't have any experience with this machine and stayed away when I heard about the engine troubles. If the machine was good overall a repower with a Cummins could make a nice little package.

It was a great machine before the motor blew, little under powered was really its downfall, but worked well otherwise, I haven't quite got it out the door yet, just waiting on the radiator and few other odds and ends before its back to work. I think it will be really nice with the extra 50 hp, and fitting the cummins really wasn't an issue after I figured out to Just spread the tanks in. I still have lots of pictures to post, only ones I forgot to show better was the rear motor mounts I meant to show them when it was out, but all I got was the ones posted about when we spotted it up, but it was pretty easy to explain. I got the plate and coupler, for the pump from Hayes machining in Michigan I think it was.
