Greetings. I have quite a pile of vinyl siding left over from an addition project. It can't be returned. I have one small garden shed that I can reside to use up some of it, but am really looking for useful ideas on reusing this stuff. I don't want to landfill it and there's no place locally to recycle it. Any of you found a good use for this? Thanks

Be sure to store a bunch where it ages in the same environment as the addition because you will eventually be replacing pieces...Mine got some sun under a deck.

I store extra siding, never know when you might need some replacement. I had some busted with hail, some with baseballs. Good think I had replacement, as my siding is no longer made. When I added my garage onto my house (same siding was still available), The transition was at a corner, so the difference in fading was not noticeable. I removed 1 whole wall of the original faded siding, so it is kept as my replacement pieces. I keep it in the original box, on a shelf in my barn.

We had a ton of different styles/colors/sizes of siding in our barn when we bought our farm. We kept some that matched the house for "just in case", and donated the rest to the local Restore store, which sells donated items to benefit Habitat for Humanity.

Yep. When I rehabbed this house I looked at vinyl sided houses - drab, dirty, wavy, Aluminum - dented.

Went with steel, still looks good after 30 years but does need a good washdown. Yes, it is spendy but it is a one time job.
