Yes, please.

And to spread the sting around to all of us it has surely filtered
down to commodity items. I see EMT (conduit) at the local HD
today jumped by a factor of over 2X in one beat. Nice. Copper is
also making an impressive run for second place in the race of price
gouging.

Oddly, I didn't see as much reaction to the jump in the price
of lumber products a little over a year ago. The price of OSB
for example was ~$6.50 a sheet which jumped to the
insane-by-any-measure cost just under ~$17. Wanna talk
about plywood? This does not look encouraging.

My source for galvanized pipe I use for fencing has raised my price thirty three and third percent this month.

That hurts.

Folks who were considering a fence for fifteen dollars a foot are now facing the same fence with the combined price increases of wire and framework jumping to eighteen dollars a foot.

I have to look at the bright side of the picture.

There are other parts of our planet experiencing growth and with only so much raw materials, well, I believe it'll eventually be better for all of us.

We'll make adjustments. We always do.

Life is good works just fine /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have enough work. The bills get paid most of the time.

The other day it was explained to me that I could be much busier if I wasn't so expensive.

My problem with that is I figure there should be a premium for what I deliver.

I'm probably wrong, am often. But I don't think it's fair to the competition for me to deliver what I do for the same price they deliver theirs. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sometimes you just have to pay a little extra to get quality workmanship! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Went with my brother-in-law yesterday to the scrap yard where he wanted to get rid of 3 five gallon buckets of old copper pipe bits and pieces. Needless to say, I was amazed when he got $73.00 for those three buckets. They gave him something like 80 cents a pound. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Now I gotta go clean out my garage.
