Readin\' the brochures
Today, I went to the Maine Agricultural Trade Show for a while in the afternoon. It's a relatively small show, but I did get a chance to look over a few tractors and to round out my brochure collection.
Tonight, I've spent a couple of hours with the brochures. I now have Kubota, John Deere, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, the new Case/IH DX Farmall series and Century. In comparing specs on tractors in the 35-40 hp range, and in looking at the loaders available for them, Century still looks the best to me.
Unfortunately, our small Century dealer in Maine, Meadowbrook Equipment, was not at the show. I tried a 2535 and a 3040 there last fall and liked them quite well. HST is about the only major feature that Century lacks, but their Synchro-Shuttle Transmission system is fine by me.
I'm sure I'll get several more hours of entertainment out of reading those brochures. I've studied the Century brochure so much I almost have it memorized. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
