Pheasants don't mind the snow neither, I just get tired of trying to drive/deliver and then rassle the crates of 'em off the truck and into the pens to unload em at customers. Makes for some interesting long cold days!
I was up on the roof putting up Christmas lights yesterday @ 56 degrees. I've done it too many times in freezing cold/rain to not take advantage of warm weather. Watching the Weather Channel snow is forcast to hit Thursday with a 35 degree high. I tried leaving the lights up all year but the shingle tab holders get brittle/break and the color of the lights fade. Gave the tractor a pre-op check and hooked up the battery tender. The only trouble I've had starting was after a week of below 0 temps. I had to use a propane heater blowing on it to get started.

This will be my first time using a snowblower (MF2360) on my GC2410. I was thinking about taking the backhoe off for the winter. It would be nice to have more room to maneuver, but is counterweight needed on the back of the tractor for the snowblower? If so, I would probably put on my box scraper, without teeth. I don't have slopes to contend with, so I'm guessing traction won't be a problem. I do have front tire chains if needed.
I have used my 2360 on my 2310 without the backhoe for the last 2 seasons. My property is pretty level and have had no traction issues while using fwd. Once I have a good base I can float the thrower so am not supporting the weight. It's your choice but it makes it a lot easier to get into tight spaces without anything sticking out the back.

I left the BH on last winter, but it does have a problem in tight places. This year I took the BH off, and the GC runs like a little sports car in tight places, :thumbsup:. I do have chains on all 4 paws, mainly for the ice, 
. I also have a wieght box just about finished for the 3 point hitch hook up, . KC . ,
B.T.W. I use the front loader the first few times to pack down a good base that will freeze all winter long. I lower the bucket to the ground and tilt it up and back, then I put it in the float position and drive forward. This has worked for me to keep my gravel driveway where it should be, :thumbsup:..

Sounds like I ought to try BH-less blowing... MF Red, thanks for the FEL packing suggestion; that sounds like it could work well for me!
(The only time it gets tight with the BH on for me is in one spot near the front of the house, where the garage is close.... I just swing the BH off to the side for that spot.)

MF Red, Do you not simply use your tires for packing the early snow because it would take longer? I'm thinking it won't be too bad for me, with car driving to pack the sides, and about 2-4 passes with the tractor in the middle.
