What is a dealer?
I have been to three listed Century dealers in WV (no Branson dealers in the state) and none actually had one on the lot.
One was small Zetor dealer with a few used tractors, one is a old empty building with no tractors of any kind but parts scattered around and the third had dozens of different Kubota's on the lot but nothing else.
I am interested in Century and would like to check one out.
Is this a common? for comparison the area Kioti dealers do have tractors on the lot and of course the NH and JD as well.
May be its a bad time of year, slow season or tax time coming up.

The dealers I shopped in Tennessee had anywhere from 5 - 10 different Century tractors on their lot. I did hear Century was purchased by Zetor and the models were changing which may explain why there aren't any tractors at your dealers. If you are that interested I would call them and ask to see what is up. I have a Century 3045 and I am very pleased with it. Some of the other members here may be able to give a better explanation. Good luck with your pursuits!!

Thanks for the reply Ray, I forgot about the line up change.
I don't expect small dealers to have every model but they can't sell them if they don't keep them in stock.

The dealer that I purchased my tractor from has Century & Zetor. I believe that a person could get a good deal on a Century as they are trying to clear their inventory of the 2004. The Zetor has the new engines but I am happy with my 3035. I have 32 hrs. on it.
Just my 2 cents.

Thanks,
I realize I replied before from my home computer. I wonder if there is a way to keep the same profile on two different computers /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif?
I am a year from a purchase but with my limited experience, the wealth of info. on this list and all the brands I want to be well researched.

Welcome to TBN! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm not a computer savvy person, but I can tell you that it does not make any difference what computer you're using when you're logged on to TBN. Your profile stays the same because it is stored on TBN's servers (hope that's the correct term). So for example, if someone were to send you a PM (private message) through your profile address, you'd be able to see it and open it whether you were at home, at work, or even traveling out of state.

Hope this clears that up for you. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just my $0.02, but I would never buy a tractor from a dealer that didn't stock them. Further, I'd never buy a tractor that I didn't get to test on my own property first, with no obligation to buy. My latest purchase was a glorified garden tractor that I bought earlier this year, the Ventrac dealer drove from central Wisconsin to Indiana to let me try it out.

When I buy a tractor (currently I have 2 CUTs and 2 GTs) I want to buy them from dealers that I know will be around to support me in case I get into trouble. So if the tractor is stuck up to its axels in mud and something is broke on it, I want the dealer out there that afternoon, or early the next morning, and I want them to have both the experience and the equipment to pull the tractor out, then I want them to have the parts in stock to fix it. That takes a lot of committement on the part of the dealership. But it is what I expect. If my tractor is broken and I need it, I don't want to hear that they will get the part in a week or two and I don't want them to tell me that they only have 1 service guy so I have to wait in line. I want a fully stocked parts department, I want a fully staffed service department. New tractors come with a warrenty, but if the service department is essentially non-existant ( none actually had one on the lot. One was small Zetor dealer with a few used tractors, one is a old empty building with no tractors of any kind but parts scattered around and the third had dozens of different Kubota's on the lot but nothing else. ) and if the parts are scattered around, and if none even bother to stock the tractors then it tells me that those dealers are low quality dealers, or at very least are not committed to the brand. They may be committed to another brand, but certainly not to the one you want to look at. If those are your choice, then I would seek out a different brand because there is no way I would give someone a check for $15,000 to $20,000 without me having some level of TRUST that they are COMMITTED to both the brand and to me as a customer.

Garry, as one who regularly logs in on different computers and/or from different states and even from a few foreign countries, I can attest to the fact that TBN can be used from pretty much anywhere anytime on any machine. The profile is very likely saved in 2 places, on is on the TBN servers, the other place is actually in the form of a "cookie" on your computer. The cookie on your computer probably doesn't actually store the profile, very likely it simply identifies you so the server can link your cookie up to your profile. I have 2 computers I regularly use when logging into TBN and both have me identified automatically, very likely by the cookie. I've used other computers on occasion, they simply require me to log in to the site and then my user ID and all my privileges are availble to me.
