REALLY stupid question - glow plugs??

This was the first year that I used my L4200 during the winter (used it to run a snowblower). Naturally, I had a glow plug system failure at the beginning of the season, although the tractor started w/o too much trouble all winter (15F+). At any rate, I took a look for the plugs on Sunday...but couldn't find them - where are they?!! There's nothing at all on the exhaust side of the motor, and I saw the fuel rail and injectors on the intake side, but there was nothing at all with wires attached to the motor. So, where are the things and what do they look like?

not sure where exactly there located on your tractor, but most are located right next to the injectors.

Mind you, there are several things that can also be not working...like the glow plug timer, the glow plug relay, etc.
might not be the plugs themselves. How old is the unit...under warranty still???

the last post is right on the location, useually very close to the injectors, there might not be wires they may be commonly attached on the top by 1 rail that has 1 wire to it. look at your air intake manafold there may be one there all by itself, a wierd place for a heater but my jinma has one on the air intake

It might be the glow plug controller because it is a little strange that all the glowplugs would go out at the same time.

No - the plugs are definitely not my problem - it's the glow plug controller or the sense thermistor or a broken wire or something like that. I wasn't trying to diagnose anything, I was just looking in on my engine (looking for a mouse, actually) then got distracted and started looking for the glow plugs, but couldn't find them. It is possible that they are tucked in behind or next to the injectors and I didn't notice them.

My tractor is just a *little* out of warranty at ~15 years and 2600+ hours
