I have a tractor loader hoe industrial that I need to remove the rear axle .
the first thing inline from the tube is the outer bearing retainer. the ears with the threaded holes snapped off and the outer bearing started creeping out of the housing nearly an inch.
I will need to remove the axle shaft and then slip off the bearing retainer part.
the axle shaft seems to be ok so far but I haven't figured out how to release it so it will slip out.
any thoughts for me?
and no, I haven't a clue just how the threaded hole ears snapped off, that is another good question !
just maybe they'd been popping off one at a time and the final one finally parted? the break surfaces look old , for what its worth.
